Operating Approach

Corporate growth is not a one-off project;
it is a cycle of seasons

The Innovation Lab does not provide consulting that ends with the initial diagnosis or workshops that end with a training schedule. In every project and every client relationship, we repeat a cycle: discover bottlenecks in spring, execute in the market in summer, harvest results and preserve them as evidence in autumn, then consolidate the learning and design the next cycle in winter.

The seasons are not merely evocative imagery; they represent an operating cycle of repeated discovery, execution, results, and realignment.

The Cycle

Four Stages, One Cycle

The stages are not standalone products, but successive phases within the same relationship. Winter is not the end; it is the starting point of the next spring.

01 / Spring · Green

Discovery and Germination

Through BM HealthCheck, customer interviews, and business model diagnostic reports, we redefine the true bottlenecks and the business’s starting point.

Output · Bottleneck Diagnostic Report
02 / Summer · Blue

Execution and Expansion

Through Deep Innovation, Market Backward, and consulting, we develop market language and revenue structures into a practical flow of operations, validation, and growth.

Output · Execution Roadmap
03 / Autumn · Red

Results and Harvest

We validate execution outcomes such as revenue, reports to executives, satisfaction scores, and certifications, and preserve them as assets in the Proof Library.

Case in Practice— LS Group Innovation Jam; UL Korea Project Workshop

Output · Evidence Register
04 / Winter · White

Consolidation and the Next Beginning

We consolidate capabilities through CBMP and toolkits, embed them within the organization, and redesign the decision criteria for the next growth cycle.

Why It Repeats

Why Repeat Rather Than Stop After One Cycle?

A one-off project ends with a single diagnostic report. The Innovation Lab has built recurring contracts and a long-term track record because each stage is designed so its outputs become inputs for the next.

Spring → SummerDIAGNOSIS → EXECUTION

The hypotheses generated by bottleneck diagnosis become the design criteria for the next workshop or coaching engagement. Diagnosis and execution are not fragmented across different teams and different languages.

Summer → AutumnEXECUTION → HARVEST

We do not treat the submission of a final report as the end of a workshop or consulting engagement. We continue the relationship until observable outcomes emerge, such as actual revenue, an executive report, or certification.

The results we harvest are not used solely as cases for the next client. They are incorporated into revisions of the CBMP training curriculum and toolkits, updating the methodology itself.

The consolidated methodologies and toolkits are used again as diagnostic tools for the next client or the next phase with the same client. The cycle does not end here; it begins again.

Which season of this cycle is your organization in now?

Our first conversation begins by identifying whether you are in spring or winter. A single diagnostic request is all it takes to get started.

Frequently Asked Questions

Quickly explore The Innovation Lab’s role and methodologies from the perspective of your challenge.

How does The Innovation Lab work with clients?

We work with clients to solve their challenges through a cyclical operating approach of discovery, execution, results, and consolidation. Rather than assuming the answer from the outset, we build evidence, make decisions, execute, and carry the work forward into the next learning cycle.

How are methodologies connected to field execution?

Methodologies are translated into field questions, deliverables, and decision gates. We address real business challenges through training, workshops, coaching, and consulting, then incorporate the results and learning into the next round of execution.

Can capabilities be retained within a company?

Yes. We design the engagement so participants perform the tasks themselves and use shared tools and decision criteria, enabling the organization to diagnose and validate its customers, market, and business model independently even after the project ends.
