LS Group Innovation Jam Training and Coaching

CASE STUDY 02

Linking ideation training, individual coaching for each leader, and IR preparation over three months elevated new-business concepts into executable strategies ready to be presented to management.

Client Context

In a group-wide new-business program, simply coming up with a good idea is not enough. Participating teams must explain in management’s language how their ideas align with the group’s direction, which customers and markets they will serve, and who will actually execute what.

Transformation Design

For teams participating in the LS Group Innovation Jam, The Innovation Lab designed general training, tailored coaching for each leader, and IR material preparation as one continuous process. Instead of considering only the appeal of the initial ideas, it progressively strengthened their market potential, feasibility, alignment with the group’s capabilities, and the evidence management needed to make decisions. The program ran for three months, from June through September 2023.

Changes in Decision-Making · Action

An executive from the organizing department assessed that more teams reached the final presentation stage with realistic, feasible proposals than in the past. The program manager reported that, compared with the other tracks running in parallel, the track supported by The Innovation Lab sent the most teams to present in the final round. This case was not about packaging ideas attractively, but about developing them to a level where they could be brought to the organization’s decision-making table.
