LH Social Venture Training · Coaching Program

CASE STUDY

This long-term, eight-year program ran from 2017 to 2025, spanning the initial design of social ventures’ business models through reassessment at the growth stage.

Client Context

Social ventures must design social value and a sustainable business structure together, and the challenges they face at the initial idea stage differ from those at the growth stage. Rather than one-off training, they needed a support structure for repeatedly reviewing their business models, customer validation, products, and next growth challenges according to each cohort and stage of growth.

Transformation Design

The Innovation Lab connected its work from 2017 through 2025 as a single family of programs. It combined training, coaching, diagnostics, and camps to suit each situation, from BM Renovating training for the early cohorts and immersive acceleration to the 2020 kickoff workshop, diagnostic and issue coaching, and subsequent BM Care Days for the growth stage.

Changes in Decision-Making · Action

Whenever they entered a new stage of growth, the participating organizations repeated the process of reassessing their customers, products, and business models and defining their next challenges. Rather than the outcome of a single workshop, this case demonstrates a long-term partnership that expanded its support approach from initial design through the reassessment of business models at the growth stage.
