Detailed Case Study

Coaching for Technology Startups Based in Chungbuk

CASE STUDY 08

We translated each team’s distinct bottleneck into OKRs and an execution roadmap, clarifying next decisions such as relaunching a brand, expanding into new markets, and pivoting a product.

Client Context

When multiple startups are supported through the same curriculum, it is easy to overlook the real issues unique to each company. The resident companies at Chungbuk National University’s Business Incubation Center faced different bottlenecks involving their brands, distribution models, B2B solutions, products, public-sector markets, and organizational direction.

Transformation Design

From September to November 2022, The Innovation Lab combined lectures and workshops with team-specific coaching. We first identified each company’s issues and set coaching goals from an OKR perspective, then conducted four coaching sessions with each team. Rather than applying a single answer, we helped each team focus on the decisions and actions it most urgently needed to change.

Changes in Decisions · Actions

The participating companies made concrete decisions about their next steps, including relaunching their own brands, shifting from a retail placement model to a multi-brand boutique, setting a direction for a B2B survey-based solution, pivoting products based on VOC, confirming the potential of the B2G market, and clarifying their company vision and direction. This case was not about delivering a large volume of educational content; it was a process of translating each company’s distinct bottlenecks into its own execution roadmap.
